This entire series is very character driven. This book is about the great-great-great-grandkids of the famous detective duo Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. It’s just a clever word joke and I can appreciate it a lot on it’s own. The name of the book refers to the case of A Study in Scarlet, but it doesn’t have to do anything with that original case. This book deals with topics such as drug use/addiction, sexual assault/rape, (attempted) murder and physical assault. So, of course I had to go read this YA series about the teenage descendants of Sherlock and Watson, especially as the entire series is on Scribd!īefore I go on, I want to throw in some content warnings. I absolutely devoured the Sherlock TV-series. I haven’t read the books, but since I was little I have been obsessed with anything Sherlock Holmes themed or inspired. “The two of us, we’re the best kind of disaster.Īpples and oranges.
